Tom Ivan, reporting for VGC: Ransomware group Ransomed[dot]vc claims to have efficiently breached Sony Group and is threatening to promote a cache of information stolen from the Japanese firm. Whereas its claims stay unverified, Cyber Safety Join reviews that the relative ransomware newcomer “has racked up a formidable quantity of victims” since bursting onto the scene final month. “Now we have efficiently compromissed [sic] all of sony methods,” the group claimed on each the clear and darkish nets. “We can’t ransom them! We are going to promote the information. On account of Sony not eager to pay. DATA IS FOR SALE.”
In accordance with Cyber Safety Join, the group has posted some proof-of-hack information, though it says that is “not notably compelling data on the face of issues.” It contains what seem like screenshots of an inner log-in web page, an inner PowerPoint presentation, a number of Java recordsdata, and a file tree of the leak which seemingly contains fewer than 6,000 recordsdata. A lot of the Ransomed[dot]vc’s members reportedly function out of Ukraine and Russia.
