The legendary sound of VOX Amplification begins with Dick Denney, a younger amplifier designer who started working for England’s JMI Company in 1957. Dick, a guitarist himself, had his finger on the heartbeat of the quickly evolving world of the electrical guitar within the late 1950’s and labored tirelessly with the JMI employees to design an amplifier that would provide the quantity and maintain that guitarists of the time had been craving. The results of their work was launched to the world in January of 1958. This amplifier, dubbed the AC1/15, marked the very first look of the VOX identify on a guitar amplifier and thus started an establishment that has thrived for almost 60 years. Later shortened to the AC15, this amplifier shortly turned the selection of London’s high guitarists, together with Vic Flick who used an AC15 on his iconic recording of the “James Bond Theme”.
VOX Mini GO 3
