Obie Award-winning composer Matt Ray together with Taylor Mac, a MacArthur Fellow, Ibsen Award winner, and Pulitzer Prize finalist have created the Bark of Thousands and thousands, A celebration of Queer Historical past and the human situation and are bringing it to the Sydney Opera Home to have fun the monumental fiftieth birthday.
A present that’s Half rock opera and half reimagined delight parade, Bark of Thousands and thousands brings collectively a group of groundbreaking artists in a four-hour party-length efficiency of queer historical past, resilience, and revelry.
Co-directed by visionaries Niegel Smith and Faye Driscoll, and with the extravagance of longtime Mac collaborator Machine Dazzle’s costume design, this joyous epic is dropped at life by a world ensemble of twenty-two artists, together with Australian Mama Alto.
